Refund policy

Last updated: 1 November 2026

This policy is for Motion bought direct, on motionlive.io. Motion bought on Steam or Google Play is refunded by Steam or Google, under their own policies.

Direct orders are sold through Stripe's Managed Payments: Sold through Link, LLC ("Link"), a Stripe company, is the merchant of record. Link takes the payment and sends your receipt, which says "Sold through Link", and your statement shows LINK.COM* and our name. There are two ways to get your money back, and you can use either: ours, below, and Link's own refund policy.

Getting your money back from us

If Motion isn't right for you, you can have a full refund within 14 days of buying it. You don't need to give a reason.

Write to [email protected] from the address you bought with, and say which order (the receipt's number, or the account you bought it with).

After 14 days, write anyway if something's wrong. If Motion doesn't work on your device and we can't fix it, you'll get a refund.

You can also ask Link for a refund within 60 days of buying, through Link's support or your receipt email: for example if you didn't get Motion, it was charged without your permission or twice, or it isn't what it was described as. Link decides those requests under its own policy, and may ask us about the order first. Link's policy doesn't cover a change of mind, but ours does, within 14 days.

What a refund does

A refund, whoever gives it, ends the purchase and the licence that came with it:

Scenes you made stay yours, and anything you published on Motion Hub stays up.

We may refuse a refund for an order bought again after an earlier refund, or where refunds are being abused.

If your account is closed for breaking the rules

If Motionlive ends your licence because you broke the Terms or the Community rules, we don't refund it, even within 14 days. That doesn't take away a refund Link gives under its own policy, or one the law gives you. If an appeal undoes the decision, your licence comes back.

Chargebacks

Please write to us first: it's quicker for you. For direct orders, Stripe handles chargebacks (disputes with your bank) itself: it looks at each one and either answers it with evidence or accepts it. A chargeback ends the purchase the same way a refund does, from when it's opened. If the chargeback is reversed (withdrawn, or decided for the seller), the purchase comes back.

Steam and Google Play

A refund there also ends what that purchase opened on Motion Hub and in Motion for Android.
