Motion Hub in your language
Motion Hub's pages are written in English and translated by volunteers. You can read the Hub in your own language where they've translated it, and makers can give their scenes a title and description in other languages too.
Choosing your language
The Hub starts in your browser's language, if it's one the Hub offers. To choose another:
- Signed in: Language, on your account page. It's kept with your account, so it follows you to any computer. Your browser's language goes back to the first.
- Signed out: the language list at the foot of every page. It's kept in your browser.
Anything not translated yet is in English, a few words at a time where a translation is nearly done. A language is offered once most of the Hub is translated and kept up to date; until then the page says Only English for now.
The terms, the privacy notice, the DMCA policy and the Community rules stay in English, as that's the version that counts.
The docs in other languages
The docs have their own translations, page by page. A page that isn't translated yet shows in English, and says This page isn't translated yet: here it is in English. When the English page changes after it was translated, the translation says so, with Read the English.
A scene's title in other languages
If you publish scenes, you can give each one its title and description in other languages.
- On your scene's page, open More, then Edit details.
- Under Title and description in other languages, pick a Language, type the Title and Description, and click Add. It's saved at once.
To change one later, edit it there and click its own Save.
People reading the Hub in that language see your words in place of yours in English, on its page and its card, with Show the original to see what you wrote first. Search finds the scene by its title in any of them. You can add the languages the Hub offers. Delete takes one off. A link in one waits until your account may post links, as in comments (see Reporting, muting and trust).
Helping translate
Translations are made by people who use Motion, in Motion's Crowdin project. If you'd like to help with your language, write to [email protected] and we'll point you to it.
